Entertainment major Shemaroo Entertainment launched ‘Rhyme Time in Toyland‘, a 2D and flash animation composited film on nursery rhymes targeted at pre-school kids, on home video platform today.

The launch was attended by Shemaroo Director Hiren Gada and Joint MD Atul Maru; Raell Padamsee, veteran theatre personality and actress Perizaad Zorabian, along with Ananya Vij, the child actress of the film.

The film has been developed by Mumbai based Web Animation Studios with a core team of four including the director Yogi Chopra, Script writer Murali Raman, Editor Sanjay, where as the concept and story was developed by Madhuri Gada.

Speaking to AnimationXpress.com, Yogi Chopra shared, “The film consists of 26 rhymes with 2D – flash animation with live action. It took us close to nine months to develop the whole 50 minutes film including live action shoot and animation production. Interestingly, it took only three days for live action shoot, two days in chroma and one day out door,”

Hiren Gada, Director, Shemaroo Entertainment added, ‘With such educative as well as entertaining audio-video films, the kids of today are bound to learn and grasp faster. Moreover, children learn as they are having fun, which is a very satisfying experience.‘

Murali Raman added, “We did a lot of R&D before developing the script and consulted a number of people for it. Once the script was ready, we discussed it with several nursery school teachers and took their feedback and reworked on the script.”

Rhyme Time in Toyland will be available under Shemaroo‘s kids sub brand KIDZ ZONE. Set in Toyland, the film is a gripping adventure, targeted at 2 to 6 year old children. The rhymes and songs are a blend of old favorites and new compositions and have been sung by Pavni Pandey and Ketki Pandey along with Jayesh Gandhi being the music director.
