hello World,

It’s been just 3 days I have been taking Google Sketchup very seriosuly. This sunday I almost spent 9 hours experimenting on this software. The more I worked, the more i learnt. A highly intuitive program- Google Sketchup is ideal for designers who don’t want to get into a messy software like maya and 3d max and make life miserable. Now you can dream, conceptualise and create scenes you always wanted to. After you manage to model something in sketchup the next big question is how to get rid of the boring sketchy look of SU. That’s where additional render plugins are useful! I have downloaded and used IDX Renditioner Express and SU Podium. Both plugins work differently. IDX is much faster but Podium gives you a much better output.

Default Sketchup Export


SU Podium gives my model more depth and more photorealistic feel.

IDX gives my model more life. Also the presentition mode in IDX gives best results.
